Job seekers are invited to a jobs and information fair being held on Thursday 15 September at the Bridgend Life Centre – formerly known as the Bridgend Recreation Centre. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Organised by Bridgend County Borough Council and Job Centre Plus, the annual event in the Bowls Hall between 10am and 1pm will enable residents to discuss employment and volunteering opportunities with a host of local employers. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

There will be a range of temporary and permanent vacancies available to apply for on the day, so job hunters are advised to take their CVs with them. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Officers from the Bridgend County Borough Council’s HR department will also be providing details of any vacancies within the local authority, while other agencies will also be on hand to share advice on the range of training and assistance that is available to help school and college leavers as well as unemployed people who are looking to get back into work. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Councillor Hywel Williams, Bridgend County Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Resources, said: “By working together with JobCentre Plus in such close partnership we are pleased to help provide local job seekers with expert advice and support to help them find work. This event always draws a strong response and support from employers and training providers and this year we will have around 50 stands featuring local organisations and businesses.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
