Cllr David Poole, the council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Housing said, “There are lots of heroes in our communities who dedicate many hours of their personal time to help others; whether this be individuals who take the time to help their neighbours or groups of volunteers who come together for a specific cause. Now in its third year, the Transforming Lives and Communities Awards are an excellent opportunity to thank and give recognition to some of those people making a real difference to the lives of council tenants and the areas in which they live.”
The closing date for nominations is Friday 8th July; winners will be announced at an awards ceremony later in September.
The awards are being co-ordinated by the council’s Caerphilly Homes team. More information on the awards, including criteria and nomination forms, are available from the team by calling 01443 866493 or by emailing thomac13@caerphilly.gov.uk
