Appeal For Information After £5000 Worth Of Criminal Damage

Gwent Police are appealing for information following reports of criminal damage of approximately up to £5000 at a house along Usk Road, Newport. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The offence happened sometime overnight between the 7th and 8th of April 2016. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Extensive damage was caused to large expensive garden ornaments. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

PC for the area, Caira Parker, said: “If anyone has any information about who is responsible for this mindless damage, please let us know. We will be increasing patrols in the area to target and deter anyone causing anti-social behaviour or criminal damage. This type of reckless vandalism will not be tolerated within our community.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
