Appeal For Information After A Burglary In Newport

On Monday 25th April sometime between 7:30am and 7:30pm, a property in Newport was burgled. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The offender/offenders used a stone to smash a window at the address on Mendalgief Road to gain entry. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Stolen from the house was a laptop, black iPhone 4 and items which belonged to the victim’s son who passed away. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

These were a leather wallet containing money and a dark green Barbour wax jacket. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
