Appeal For Information After A Road Traffic Collision, Newport

At approximately 10:00pm on Thursday 31st March 2016 a road traffic collision occurred on Malpas Road in Newport near to the fire station whereby a 29 year old female was knocked off her pedal cycle. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The female was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The offending vehicle failed to stop at the scene and Gwent Police are appealing for persons to come forward that may have witnessed this or have any information regarding this to contact them on 101 quoting log number GWP-20160331-0514. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
