Appeal For Information After Road Traffic Collision At Ystrad Mynach Hospital Traffic Lights

Gwent Police were called at approximately 10pm on Monday 23rd May 2016 to a report of a road traffic collision on the A469 near Ystrad Mynach Hospital traffic lights. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Officers attended the scene and dealt with a two vehicle collision involving a silver Vauxhall Vectra and a red Citroen DS3. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Two people were injured and both suffered serious injuries – they are both now recovering. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The A469 remained closed for several hours and officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call Gwent Police on 101 quoting log 564 23/05/16. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
