Appeal For Information And Advice Following Garage/ Shed Breaks And Garden Thefts – Caerphilly

We’re appealing for information and advising residents to remain vigilant following a garage breaks and garden thefts in the Caerphilly area over the past week. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Items were stolen from two gardens: ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Graig Yr Wylan, Glenfields – log 87 23/09/16
Four solar lights stolen ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Lon Y Ddraenen, Lon Y Llyn – log 318 23/09/16
Clock, two glass lanterns, solar panelled lights and pots and plants stolen ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Garages/ sheds were broken into on: ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Lon Robin Goch, Glenfields – log 481 21/09/16
Garage broken into – Trek Excalibur 7 mountain bike, Dewalt drill, screwdriver set, socket set and sander stolen ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Garage broken into but nothing stolen ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Tenby Court, Hendredenny – log 126 19/09/16
Garage broken into – power tools stolen ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Bartlett Street – log 135 24/09/16
Garage broken into – Honda motorbike stolen ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Parc Avenue – log 132 25/09/16
Garage broken into – tools stolen ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Goodrich Avenue – log 422 21/09/16
Three sheds entered – stereo stolen ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

There was also an attempted break in of a garage reported on Maxton Court. No entry was gained but damage was caused to the door – log 138 21/09/16. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Local Crime and Disorder Reduction Officer, PC Stuart Lewis said; “I would ask Caerphilly residents to be extra vigilant where their home security is concerned. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“Please ensure that all windows and doors of your property and outbuildings are kept locked and secure and items are put away after use. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“Officers are patrolling the area and I ask that anyone with information relating to any of these incidents calls 101 quoting the relevant log number.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
