Appeal For Information And Advice Following Garage/ Shed Breaks And Garden Thefts – Caerphilly
We’re appealing for information and advising residents to remain vigilant following a garage breaks and garden thefts in the Caerphilly area over the past week.
Items were stolen from two gardens:
Graig Yr Wylan, Glenfields – log 87 23/09/16
Four solar lights stolen
Lon Y Ddraenen, Lon Y Llyn – log 318 23/09/16
Clock, two glass lanterns, solar panelled lights and pots and plants stolen
Garages/ sheds were broken into on:
Lon Robin Goch, Glenfields – log 481 21/09/16
Garage broken into – Trek Excalibur 7 mountain bike, Dewalt drill, screwdriver set, socket set and sander stolen
St Helen’s Court – log 62 19/06/16
Garage broken into but nothing stolen
Tenby Court, Hendredenny – log 126 19/09/16
Garage broken into – power tools stolen
Bartlett Street – log 135 24/09/16
Garage broken into – Honda motorbike stolen
Parc Avenue – log 132 25/09/16
Garage broken into – tools stolen
Goodrich Avenue – log 422 21/09/16
Three sheds entered – stereo stolen
There was also an attempted break in of a garage reported on Maxton Court. No entry was gained but damage was caused to the door – log 138 21/09/16.
Local Crime and Disorder Reduction Officer, PC Stuart Lewis said; “I would ask Caerphilly residents to be extra vigilant where their home security is concerned.
“Please ensure that all windows and doors of your property and outbuildings are kept locked and secure and items are put away after use.
“Officers are patrolling the area and I ask that anyone with information relating to any of these incidents calls 101 quoting the relevant log number.”
