Appeal for information – Assault, Blackwood

We’re appealing for information following a 66 year old man being assaulted on Woodbine Road, Blackwood. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The man was walking along the road in the direction of High Street at approximately 11am this morning, Tuesday 2nd February, when he was approached by a man and glassed to the head. He sustained cuts to his face and was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital for treatment. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The offender is described as being white, in his 20s and was wearing a light coloured t-shirt and a light coloured hat, possibly a baseball cap. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
