Rhymney Inspector, Ian Muirhead says: “I’m urging people to think about the dangers of using fireworks in an irresponsible manner. These sorts of crimes are reckless and what some people think may be a bit of fun can lead to lives being put at risk with devastating consequences for the people living within the home.
“When any fire starts it can spread rapidly which can engulf a house and entrap the occupants in a few minutes.
“I want to emphasise that Incidents like these can carry a prison sentence on conviction.
“Officers are currently investigating but if you have any information regarding this incident, please contact us on 101 immediately.”
