Appeal for information – Sexual assault in the Newbridge area

Police are appealing for information after a sexual assault on a woman was reported to Gwent Police. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The incident was reported as taking place in the area of Old Pant Road, between Hazlewood Drive and Coronation Crescent, Newbridge, between 10pm and 11pm on Tuesday 26th January 2016. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The suspect was described as male, over 5ft 8” tall, wearing dark clothing and a coat which had fur around the hood. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Police are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have been in the area during that time. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
