Armed Robbery in Caerleon

We are appealing for information following an armed robbery at the Spar Store and Service Station on Ponthir Road in Caerleon. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The robbery took place just prior to the store closing, between 10.50pm and 11pm, on Friday 11th March 2016. A man entered the store holding what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money. He then ran off with a quantity of cash, on to Ponthir Road. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The man is described as a white, approximately 6ft tall with brown eyes. The man was wearing a green hooded jacket with orange lining to the hood, dark blue jeans, dark coloured trainers and had most of his face covered with some type of hood or head-over scarf. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
