Arrests Made: Armed Robberies In Portskewett And Caerleon

Last week we told you about two armed robberies that had taken place in Portskewett and Caerleon. There have now been a number of arrests regarding these: ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

A 44 year old man from Cwmbran has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of a firearm. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

A 47 year old man and a 29 year old, both from Newport have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Two other people, a 33 year old man from Caldicot and a 45 year old woman from Newport have both been released without charge. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

We are particularly keen to hear from drivers with ‘dashcams’ fitted in their vehicles who would have been driving in the Caerleon between 10.00pm and 11.30pm on 11th March 2016 or people in the Portskewett area between 9.00pm and 10.30pm on the 20th of March 2016. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
