Caerphilly Inspector issues 48 hour Dispersal Order this weekend
Following recent reports of anti-social behaviour and criminal damage in Caerphilly, there will be a 48 hour Dispersal Order (Under Section 35 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014) put in place this weekend starting at 6pm tonight (Friday 26th February 2016).
The designated area of the order will include: The area known as the Crossways Business Park also incorporating the A468 between Corbetts roundabout and Crossways roundabout, including all public open spaces and retail outlet car parks.
The order will also cover: The public access car park to B&M Bargains on Bedwas Road, Caerphilly, the public access car park to Adsa on Pontygwindy Road, Caerphilly and the public access car park to Home Bargains, Pontygwindy Road, Caerphilly.
Officers will be targeting the area over the weekend and any sort of anti-social behaviour will result in them being issued with a dispersal order.
The orders provide Police Officers and Community Support Officers with the powers to direct anyone to leave this specified area if they are involved in anti-social behaviour. If they return to that area after being moved on, they face being arrested.
