Did You See Anything Suspicious? Two Homes Targeted In Nantyglo This Week

Gwent Police are appealing for information after a report of an attempted burglary and a report of a burglary this week. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

During the first incident, an attempt was made to break into a home on Lower Coedcae in Nantyglo, Brynmawr on Wednesday 21st September 2016, at approximately 1.40am. The suspect was disturbed by the homeowner and as a result, nothing was stolen from the address. (Log 226 21/09/16) ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

In the second incident, a home was broken into on Coalbrookvale Terrace in Nantyglo, Brynmawr sometime between Monday 19th September and Wednesday 21st September 2016. Fortunately, nothing was stolen during the burglary. (Log 193 21/09/16) ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Officers have now increased their patrols in the area and are reminding residents to always double check their home security and not to leave any windows or doors open. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
