Dispersal Order: Pontfaen, Newport

Following recent reports of anti-social behaviour in the Pontfaen area of Newport, there will be a 48 hour Dispersal Order (Under Section 35 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014) in place. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The designated area of the order will include: Tesco Extra, Spytty, Fallowfield Drive, Pontfaen Road, Fosse Road, Greenmeadow Road, Nash Grove, Eastmoor Road, Mulcaster Avenue, Westmoor Close, Willow Close, Meads Close, Hillview Crescent, Fosse Close and Heath Close. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The order will start at 4pm on Friday 17th February, and will be in place for 48 hours. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Officers will be patrolling the area and will have the authority to direct anyone behaving anti-socially away from the area. If they return to that area after being moved on, they face being arrested. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
