Fatal Road Traffic Collision in Caerleon, Newport

We are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that happened at approximately 11.00pm last night, Wednesday 24th February 2016 at Belmont Hill, Caerleon. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

A 21 year old man from the Caerleon area was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. A 16 year old girl from the Pontypool area has been taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital with life threatening injuries. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Specialist trained officers are supporting both families. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Anyone with information relating to the collision is asked to call 101 quoting log 534 24/02/16. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
