Gwent Police Warn Drivers After Catching One Motorist Speeding At 146mph.
30 year old Garron Duane Groves, from Hereford was caught by a ‘Go Safe’ camera on the A449 dual carriageway near Junction 24 of the M4 travelling at the speed on 146mph.
He appeared at Newport Magistrates Court on Monday 18th April 2016 having pleaded guilty to dangerous driving.
He was sentenced to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 2 years along with 100 hours of unpaid work.
Gwent Police would like to remind motorists to drive legally, safely and responsibly.
Those breaking speed limits could receive prison sentences, fines and penalty points which will affect their insurance premiums.
