Man Sentenced To 18 Weeks In Prison After Theft From Vehicles In Newport

A 21 year old man from Newport has been sentenced to 18 weeks in prison for theft from vehicles in Lliswerry, Alway and Ringland. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Officers are warning drivers to make sure they keep all items in their cars and vans out of sight. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

We would also like to urge drivers to check and double check they’ve shut and locked all of the doors and windows on their vehicles when left unattended. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
