Cwmbran Officers are urging allotment owners to be vigilant with their security and to take simple steps to help keep their property safe and secure at all times. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The message comes after 8 allotment patches were targeted in the allotments behind Rhiw Melin, in the Pontnewydd area of Cwmbran between Thursday 7th April and Monday 11th April 2016. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Cwmbran Ward Manager for Pontnewydd, PC Bob Muir says: “We’ve recently seen a cluster of allotment sheds broken into. Even though there were no significant items of property taken, I want to remind allotment owners to check their security and anyone who lives near the allotment to report any suspicious activity immediately. Thieves will take any chance they can, don’t make it easy for them. Please remain vigilant and if you have any information on the above crimes, please contact us on 101”. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
