Residents asked to be vigilant following break ins – Blackwood

Officers are appealing for information and asking residents to remain vigilant and be mindful of home security following several breaks ins in the Blackwood area. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Since the beginning of the year, eight burglaries and an attempted burglary have been reported. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Properties have been targeted on Clos Ceirw (attempted burglary), St Margaret’s Avenue and Gardd Jolyon in Cefn Fforest, Cefn Road, Coronation Road and Gordon Road in Blackwood, Nant-y-Rhos in Pontllanfraith and Penyfan Leisure Park in Argoed. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Most of the break ins occurred overnight or during the morning. Items stolen include laptops/tablets, handbags, phones, wallets and money. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
