Ride Along Scheme – Ben And Tommy Meet Our Officers

Our Ride Along Scheme in Gwent allows you to join Gwent Police officers and staff and observe our work. You can experience first-hand what your local officers are dealing with on a daily basis, it could be seeing how they respond to calls, or how they proactively patrol areas. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Last week, Ben and Tommy along with their carer Chris popped in to meet the Area Support Unit who cover the west half of Gwent, including: Caerphilly, Blaenau Gwent and Torfaen. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

They were shown some of our fleet of vehicles and also got to meet one of our Dog Handlers, PC Lloyd Wood and his 2 dogs Jess and Tiger. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
