Rogue Trader Incident In Magor, Monmouthshire

We’re appealing for information following a rogue trader incident in Monmouthshire. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Between 12pm and 2pm on Tuesday 21st February, two men called at an address on Newport Road in Magor and claimed that there was a problem with the guttering on the property. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

After a price was quoted by the men, the occupant said they only had £400 in cash which the two men took. The men said they would call back to complete the work but never returned. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Officers wold like to speak to the two men shown in these photos as they may be able to help with our enquiries. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
