RTC: Malpas Road, Newport

At 4.30pm today (Wednesday 1st February) we received reports of a collision between a Volkswagon Passat and a female pedestrian on Malpas Road, Newport close to the Tesco Express store. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Paramedics are currently treating the pedestrian at the scene. Malpas Road has been closed and traffic is being directed through Newport from the M4. Traffic is heavy and delays are expected therefore drivers are advised to avoid the area if at all possible. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
