Three drugs warrants executed in Newport

Two men have been arrested following three drug warrants in Newport this morning, Tuesday 8th March.
Officers attended three addresses in the Lliswerry area at around 10:00am.
Quantities of drugs were seized from properties in Moorland Park and Broadmead Park.
A 33 year-old Lliswerry male was arrested for possession of Class B drugs, along with a 40 year-old male also from Lliswerry who was arrested for cultivating cannabis….both remain in police custody at this time.
Sergeant Alistair Frame who coordinated the raids said; “We hope this gives out a message to the community that we are committed to tackling drug issues in the area. We will continue to execute drugs warrants across Newport but I would also like to urge residents, if you have any information about drug use or supply, please contact us on 101.”
