Update: Man found near Llanfoist Bridge, Abergavenny

On Monday 22nd February 2016, Emergency Services were involved in the search of a river in Abergavenny, near Llanfoist bridge, where it was believed a man may have entered the water. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

At 10.00am that day, the body of man was recovered from the river. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

He can now be named as 66 year old John Sullivan from Abergavenny. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Enquiries are on-going to establish the circumstances surrounding his death. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
