UPDATE: Road Traffic Collision On Garn Yr Erw, Near Blaenavon

On Friday 30th September 2016, at approximately 12.15pm, Gwent Police received a report of a collision involving a Silver Renault Megane and an Iveco Flatbed Lorry. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The driver of the Renault Megane, a 26 year old man from the area was taken by Air Ambulance to the University Hospital Wales, Cardiff, where he sadly passed away. The man can now be named as Adam Phillip Michael Millett. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The driver of the lorry, a 25 year old man from the Cardiff area received minor injuries. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The family of the deceased are now being supported by specialist officers. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Gwent Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have any information relating to it to call 101, quoting log: 171 30/09/16. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
