Warning To Blackwood Residents After Thieves Target The Area Overnight
Gwent Police are warning residents to keep a closer eye on their property and report any suspicious activity immediately after a spike in reported incidents throughout the Blackwood area overnight (30th – 31st March 2016)
A house was broken into by forced entry on Elim way where money and car keys were stolen and on Llanarth Road where jewellery and money was stolen.
There were also two attempted breaks on Elim way, Pontllanfraith and one attempted break on Woodbine Road, Blackwood.
Blackwood Inspector, Jason White says: “We are currently investigating each reported crime and asking residents to secure their property.
“Extra patrols have now been put in place by uniformed and plain clothed officers.
“I also want remind people not to leave valuable items on view or in reach of open windows.
“Please report any suspicious activity immediately by calling Gwent Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
