As the better weather approaches, officers are urging residents not to become complacent by leaving car or home windows and doors open. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The reminder comes after a spate of attempted breaks and breaks overnight from Tuesday 3rd May to Wednesday 4th May. Reported crimes include: ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Extra patrols have now been put in place by uniformed and plain clothed officers but I also want remind residents to double check their security and please report any suspicious activity immediately by calling Gwent Police on 101 or if you see a crime taking place, call 999. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“The Mobile Police Station has been and will continue to visit the area, in particular, the Cwm Calon estate – during these visits, you can pop along to see myself or a member of the Ystrad Mynach Team for advice as well as discuss any issues you may have.
