Find out about funding sources for community enterprises
A partnership between Newport and Monmouthshire councils to promote rural communities and businesses and increase prosperity is to take to the road in March to explain what funding is available for the area’s community groups.
The Vale of Usk Rural Development Programme (RDP) administers funding under the Wales RDP which covers business development, exploiting digital technology, developing renewable energy schemes for communities, using natural and cultural assets for sustainable, economic growth in areas like tourism and delivering local services within rural communities.
In Newport, it covers the wards of Marshfield, Llanwern, Langstone, Caerleon and Graig.
Residents and businesses in those areas can attend the meetings which are taking place as follows:
- Llanarth Village Hall, near Raglan, NP15 2AU – 6pm, Monday 14 March
- Bridges Community Centre, Monmouth, NP25 5AS – 6pm, Wednesday 16 March
- Redwick Village Hall, near Magor, NP26 3DE – 6pm, Wednesday 23 March
To book a place contact rdpinfo@monmouthshire.gov.uk or arrive on the evening.
