Come Along and ‘Meet Fred’
He’s just a regular guy who wants to get on in life – Meet Fred!
He wants to get a job, find a nice girl and settle down. The only problem is that Fred is a Puppet, and that’s where his dependency issues start.
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is delighted to welcome Hijinx Theatre back to Rhondda Cynon Taf this spring with their latest production.
Day-to-day life is tough for Fred, especially when everything you do relies on three other guys being with you at all times. Out for a quiet walk, on a date, in the bathroom, life is never simple!
Meet Fred is the new show from Hijinx Theatre, a professional company based at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff which tours all across the UK and Europe.
An endearing comedy theatre performance, it focuses on Fred, an outsider trying to make his mark in a world in which he needs a lot of help as being misunderstood, unseen or outright ignored are all part of the daily grind for him.
Cllr Ann Crimmings, Cabinet Member for the Environment, Leisure and Culture, said: “Hijinx Theatre has a huge reputation and following wherever their performers appear.
“We are delighted to welcome them back to our County Borough with Meet Fred, a thought-provoking performance. I am sure many people are looking forward to meeting Fred.”
Meet Fred, a 60-minute production, mixes live performance, puppetry and film to make this a comedy show not to be missed. It is suitable for audiences age 12-plus.
