Pontypridd Road to Close Overnight for Tree Removal Works

A Pontypridd road will close for one night for trees to be removed from the area.
The plan is that Rhondda Road will close from its junction with Jenkins Street to its junction with Pwllgwaun Road, at rail structure THT 13 37 opposite the rear of Pontypridd Accident Repair Centre in Sheppard Street.
It is set to be an overnight closure from 10pm on Monday, August 24 until 5am on Tuesday, August 25.
The closure is needed to allow tree removal works.
An alternative route is available from the southeastern side of the closure  via Rhondda Road (to Pontypridd), A470, Upper Boat Roundabout, Tonteg Road, A473 Church Village Bypass, the A473 (Matalan) Roundabout, A4119, Tonyrefail Roundabout, A4233 (to Porth) and A4058 to the northwestern side of the closure.
For vehicles travelling in the opposite direction, the alternative route is the reverse of this.
Access will be maintained for pedestrians and emergency services but not to premises.
