Have you returned your Election registration documents yet? If not, you risk not being eligible to vote at any forthcoming elections. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Rhondda Cynon Taf’s Electoral Registration team are currently busy dealing with applications to go on the Register of Electors. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

This is to ensure that the Register of Electors is as up-to-date as possible ahead of this year’s elections, including elections to the National Assembly for Wales and for the South Wales Police and Crime Commissioner on Thursday, May 5. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Register to vote online ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Anyone not registered will not be able to vote at elections. It is a legal requirement to register, with a maximum fine of £1,000 for failure to do so. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Residents who are not registered or require assistance can contact the Council’s Electoral Registration team on 01443 490100. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
