Lord Mayor Calls For Last Minute Nominations
The deadline for nominations for the 2016 High 5 awards for inspirational children and young people is just days away.
Nominators only have until Friday July 22nd to say a special thanks and tell a youngster or group how proud they are of what they have achieved by nominating them for these prestigious honours.
Everyone nominated will be recognised with a certificate to recognise their attitude and endeavour which is making their own lives or the lives of others better.
And those who go on to win will be presented with a unique prize designed around them and presented by Swans star Leon Britton at the Liberty Stadium this autumn.
So far nominations have come in from across the city for both individuals and groups of youngsters who are an inspiration because of their positive attitude and actions.
The Lord Mayor of the City and County of Swansea David Hopkins said: “The Lord Mayor’s office supports the High 5 Awards because they celebrate what wonderful children and young people we have here and our city’s pride in what they are achieving.
“I love the fact that High 5 rewards every child nominated with a certificate and they deserve it too. It’s a lovely way to say well done, we’re proud of you, keep up the good work.
“Please don’t a let a child or group you know miss out.”
Awards ambassador and Swans star Leon Britton said: “Thank you to everyone who has nominated so far.
