CWMBRAN’S community council has discussed repairing and replacing its notice boards across the area.
Deputy clerk Andy Smith said that “several” of the current noticeboards, including those at the Church Hall on Newport Road and in South Sebastopol need repairing, with “a number” requiring the “discoloured” perspex to be replaced.
He also confirmed the noticeboard at the Council House, in Cwmbran, has broken hinges and will need replacing.
Mr Smith said he will be visiting all noticeboards to assess the location and condition and he has also held discussions with Torfaen Borough Council concerning noticeboards for new developments. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
