Roald Dahl Brought To Life At Torfaen Libraries

Torfaen pupils have brought some of their favourite Roald Dahl characters to life as part of a theatre show celebrating the author’s 100 centenary celebrations. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Roald Dahl – Imagine That! was written by the Bardd Plant Cymru/Welsh Children’s Laureate Anni Llŷn as part of the national celebrations, and the show is a joint venture between the Welsh Books Council and Mewn Cymeriad/In Character children’s theatre company. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

During the show the eccentric, book-loving character Alf, portrayed by Welsh actor Chris Kinahan, guides children through his favourite Roald Dahl stories. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
