Torfaen Library Service Launches E-Newsletter

Torfaen’s library service has launched a new e-newsletter for its customers. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The monthly newsletter contains the latest library news, events and book recommendations. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Customers can sign up via the council’s website where they can also subscribe to receive the latest council news, event’s bulletins, and latest job opportunities. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Christine George, Torfaen’s library and information manager, said: ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“People don’t realise just how much goes on in a library these days. As well as taking out the latest books and DVDs, our customers can access the internet, get support to look for work, learn new skills, join a book group or board game club, and many other activities. We also have regular events for children of all ages during the holidays. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“We hope that our newsletter will show Torfaen residents just how much is going on at Torfaen’s libraries.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
