World Heritage Parade To Celebrate Towns Past And Present
World Heritage Day organisers have met with local school children to plan this year’s parade.
The Blaenavon Heritage School council met with organisers and agreed the theme, ‘Blaenavon past and present’, celebrating the town’s industrial past, but also what makes the town unique today.
World Heritage Day takes place on Saturday 25 June and as well as the parade there will be a fun fair, a miniature steam railway, live music, craft stalls and the shops in town will also be getting involved with special offers.
Live acts and other activities will be confirmed shortly.
