Box UK Run World Half Marathon Championships For WAA
A Welsh software consultancy business will be running alongside Mo Farah and other running legends to raise funds for Wales Air Ambulance.
Box UK staff are taking on the World Half Marathon Championships in Cardiff on Saturday 26 March to raise funds for the Welsh helicopter charity.
Jamie, Dylan and Lisa from Box UK are taking on the 13 mile prestigious race in aid of their charity of the year.
Box UK elected WAA as its charity of the year in March, and they have been raising money for the charity throughout the year.
The staff at Box UK has been raising money for the charity in ingenious ways, including a sweepstakes contest where staff guessed the birth time and name of a colleague’s baby!
So far, the team at Box UK have raised over £2,400 for the charity, and hope to keep collecting donations.
The three staff members will run in the World Half Marathon Championships to raise even more for their charity of the year.
Jamie, Dylan and Lisa have ran 269.4 miles and climbed 5,308 feet in training for the event.
Lisa Innes, Head of Marketing at Box UK, said: “All of the effort has been in support of our charity of the year, Wales Air Ambulance.
“So far this year we have raised a total of £2,413.14 and with each missions costing on average £1,500, it would be amazing to see us reach £3,000.”
