The South Wales helicopter landed in the capital’s lardmark at 10:15am and aircrews assisted the Welsh Ambulance Service in treating an adult male. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The patient was conveyed by road to UHW Cardiff, and the WAAC Critical Care Team went with the patient in the land ambulance to hospital to continue providing pre-hospital care. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The Wales Air Ambulance helicopter cleared the area at 10:50am. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Grant Elgar, Wales Air Ambulance South Wales Pilot, said: “The castle’s grounds provided an ideal landing site for us. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“Whilst waiting for the medics to return, I was able to get some picutres of our charity’s helicopter in this historic monument.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
