Young Musicians Help To Fund Lifesaving Missions
A group of Pembrokeshire young musicians have helped to raise a lifesaving donation for Wales Air Ambulance, a charity which has come to the aid of several of the members.
The Junior Jammers, Tenby, raised over £100 for Wales Air Ambulance by hosting a series of Guitar Concerts in aid of the charity.
The group, made up of young musicians between the ages of 6 years old and 14 years old, performed two concerts and held a raffle to fundraise for WAA.
The Junior Jammers decided to fundraise for Wales Air Ambulance after the charity became close to the groups heart.
One of the members of the group was airlifted in 2015 after they were involved in a road traffic collision.
Another member of the Junior Jammers became fond of the charity after their parent was airlifted by WAA.
The Junior Jammers presented their donation of £120 to Tony Key, WAA Pembrokeshire Community Coordinator, at the Augustus Place Community Centre on February 17.
Tony Key said: “It is amazing that we have such young talent in Wales, and that they are using their amazing skills to raise money for charity.
“Wales Air Ambulance relies on kind donations to fund its services, so we would like to say a huge thank you to the Junior Jammers for helping to keep our helicopters flying.”
