Annual Charity Carol Service 2016

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is welcoming in the festive season with its Annual Charity Carol Service. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

This year, the celebration will be held in St Davids Church, Neath at 6:30pm on Monday 12th December 2016. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The Service will be led by Reverend Canon Stephen J. Ryan. The Reverend Canon Illtyd Protheroe, Supervisory Chaplain for the Service will also be in attendance. Local dignitaries including D Byron Lewis Esq., CStJ, FCA Lord-Lieutenant of West Glamorgan and The High Sherriff of Neath Professor D M Mead OBE OStJ FRCN will be present along with the Chair of the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Authority Councillor Janice Dudle. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Chris Davies, Chief Fire Officer of the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service says, ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“The annual charity carol service is an event we look forward to each year. Not only is it a wonderful way to give back to the communities that we represent, but it also allows us to promote and support our two nominated charities” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“This year, all donations received will go to The Firefighters Charity, Alzheimers Society and Ameila Matters.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“We feel honoured that dignitaries, along with Councillors have travelled from across the Service to attend the event, epitomising the true sentiment that is Christmas”. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The Choir from the Waunceirch Primary School, Neath and the Neath Male Voice Choir will join our avid Service carollers. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Warm drinks and snacks will be available after the Service and we warmly invite all members of the public to attend, for what we hope will be a very joyous occasion. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
