Annual Charity Carol Service 2016
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is welcoming in the festive season with its Annual Charity Carol Service.
This year, the celebration will be held in St Davids Church, Neath at 6:30pm on Monday 12th December 2016.
The Service will be led by Reverend Canon Stephen J. Ryan. The Reverend Canon Illtyd Protheroe, Supervisory Chaplain for the Service will also be in attendance. Local dignitaries including D Byron Lewis Esq., CStJ, FCA Lord-Lieutenant of West Glamorgan and The High Sherriff of Neath Professor D M Mead OBE OStJ FRCN will be present along with the Chair of the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Authority Councillor Janice Dudle.
Chris Davies, Chief Fire Officer of the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service says,
“The annual charity carol service is an event we look forward to each year. Not only is it a wonderful way to give back to the communities that we represent, but it also allows us to promote and support our two nominated charities”
“This year, all donations received will go to The Firefighters Charity, Alzheimers Society and Ameila Matters.”
“We feel honoured that dignitaries, along with Councillors have travelled from across the Service to attend the event, epitomising the true sentiment that is Christmas”.
The Choir from the Waunceirch Primary School, Neath and the Neath Male Voice Choir will join our avid Service carollers.
Warm drinks and snacks will be available after the Service and we warmly invite all members of the public to attend, for what we hope will be a very joyous occasion.
