High Sheriff Of Powys Visits Newtown Drill Session

Newtown On-Call crew were delighted to welcome the High Sheriff of Powys to their Drill session. Mrs Ann Tudor JP spent time talking to crews finding out about the role of On-Call firefighters, incidents attended, and the appliances & equipment at the station. On the drill yard crews utilised the Rural Response Pump to commit crews in Breathing Apparatus to a simulated property fire. From a vantage point in the front of the Rescue Pump, Mrs Tudor was given a commentary was given by WM Gardner and seemed very impressed with the crew’s efforts! ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
