Cymmer Crew Attend Kitchen Fire In Blaengwynfi

On Monday, 4th July 2016 at 09:32am, fire crews from Cymmer and Maesteg (South Wales Fire and Rescue Service) responded to a call of a property fire in Blaengwynfi. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The fire was confined to the kitchen and living room area and firefighters extinguished the fire using four breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet, a positive pressure ventilation fan and a thermal imaging camera. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The Fire Service rescued one cat, but sadly four other cats died. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
