£15m Of Investment For New Cwmbran School – Kirsty Williams

Education Secretary Kirsty Williams has given the green light to £15m of investment to construct new buildings for Croesyceiliog school in Cwmbran (Weds 21st Dec). ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The new school will be able to accommodate 1,200 pupils who live mainly on the eastern side of Cwmbran. The project will cost £30m in total with Torfaen Council providing the rest of the funding. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Croesyceliog school forms part of the £86 million investment that has been earmarked for school building improvement in Torfaen through the Welsh Government’s £1.4 billion 21st Century Schools and Education Programme. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Kirsty Williams said: ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“This new funding will mean Croesyceiliog school will get a £30m new building providing the most modern facilities for pupils and the best environment possible to learn in. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
