Men Arrested In Illegal Waste Dawn Raid
Natural Resources Wales (NRW) officers carried out a series of early morning raids on Tuesday (August 2) in the Swansea and Resolven areas as part of an investigation into illegal waste activity.
Three men aged between 53 and 77, were arrested and taken to Swansea Central Police Station where they were questioned and later released on bail pending further inquiries.
The operation was co-ordinated and led by NRW’s Environmental Crime officers who were supported by officers from South Wales Police and the Driver and Vehicles Standards Agency.
Ann Weedy, Enforcement Operations Manager for NRW, said:
“A key part of our role is to protect communities from illegal waste operators who not only harm the environment but undercut the marketplace for legitimate businesses.
