Men Arrested In Illegal Waste Dawn Raid

Natural Resources Wales (NRW) officers carried out a series of early morning raids on Tuesday (August 2) in the Swansea and Resolven areas as part of an investigation into illegal waste activity. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Three men aged between 53 and 77, were arrested and taken to Swansea Central Police Station where they were questioned and later released on bail pending further inquiries. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The operation was co-ordinated and led by NRW’s Environmental Crime officers who were supported by officers from South Wales Police and the Driver and Vehicles Standards Agency. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Ann Weedy, Enforcement Operations Manager for NRW, said: ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
