Ragdoll Cat Found In ‘Sad And Sorry State’ Tied To Ponthir Fence With String
RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after a poorly ragdoll-type cat came into the charity’s care, after being found tied to a fence.
The cat was found on Caerleon Road in Ponthir on Sunday 11 December, and was tied to the fence using only a piece of string.
In desperate need of veterinary care, the cat was found visibly thin, with serious diarrhoea. It was constantly crying, and seemed in pain when her stomach was touched.
RSPCA Cymru is urging any member of the public who knows who owns this cat, or how she came to be tied to a fence in such a condition, to get in touch. She was not microchipped, and remains in RSPCA care.
Gemma Black, RSPCA inspector, said:
“This beautiful ragdoll-type cat was found in a truly sad and sorry state. She was constantly crying, and clearly very unwell; helplessly tied to the fence by a thin piece of string.
“We’re urgently seeking any information which could alert us to the cat’s owner, or help explain how she came to be tied up to a fence in this way.
