Underweight And Frail Cat Found On Newport Golf Course
RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after an underweight and frail cat was found at a golf course in Newport.
The black and white young cat was found walking on the grounds of The Celtic Manor Resort on Sunday (3 April).
RSPCA deputy chief inspector Gemma Black said: “A cat collar and a dog’s lead were found next to the cat so she may have well been with an owner, but there are no houses nearby.
“We think the cat is only around 18 months-old and a vet found no obvious issues apart from her being thin. She was starving hungry when offered food. She is a lovely cat.
“She is not microchipped so unfortunately we are not able to track down her owner.”
“Anyone who may have information about her owner should contact the RSPCA inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018. Calls are treated in confidence.”
The RSPCA would like to remind people to get their pets microchipped to give their lost pets the chance of returning home. It is also important to register the chip with a national database and update your contact details if you move or change phone number.
