Name For New Offices Agreed

The new Council offices in Colwyn Bay will be named “Coed Pella”. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The new offices at the junction of Conway Road and Coed Pella Road are being developed on behalf of the Council by its development partner, Muse Developments and are due for completion in late 2018. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Members of Conwy’s Cabinet and Principal Scrutiny Committee endorsed the name Coed Pella at their meetings this month (March). ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Cllr Dilwyn Roberts, Leader, Conwy County Borough Council said: “Naming the offices signals another milestone in the progress of the project, and will give the building and the project a clear identity.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“This new office building will help to streamline our office accommodation, but it’s also a key part of our vision to revitalise the town – bringing people into the heart of a town brings vitality, footfall and spend.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
