Chemical Spill On The A55

Fire crews from Colwyn Bay, Bangor, Abergele and Wrexham are in attendance at an incident involving a chemical spill on the A55. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service’s control room received a call at 10.48am this morning (Tuesday 22nd March) reporting a chemical spill from a vehicle on the A55 westbound between junction 21 and 22. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Appliances from Colwyn Bay, Abergele, Bangor and Wrexham, the incident response unit and the environmental protection unit are in attendance at the incident. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The A55 is closed in both directions and the public are advised to find alternative routes as the emergency services bring the incident under control. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
